This should be a pretty straightforward thing, but I've been vexed by this for a bit.

I have a document with 4 layers. As I subsequently paste and draw objects in the layer, I can lock the layer - then go up to the next layer and create objects
there - and so on routinely. The problem I have run into is that for most of the objects on my current canvas I can turn off the 'eye' icon and hide all the objects in the layer ... all objects except for one: my logo.

The logo is not on any of the layers. No matter what layer I try and add it to, it will not hide with the layer. The logo is an imported EPS file -embedded - and the title text (Text tool) and tagline.

Am I missing something obvious? How do I get that logo back on the logos layer and "stick" there?

What does the indicator bar say if you select the logo at the bottom?
Can you move the logo object (as a group of the raster part with the letterings) up/down to another layer by pressing Shift+PgUp or Shift+PgDown?
Or is it so locked that you cannot select it at all?

Thanks for the reply. Sry, Dropbox was not displaying images - I fixed it, they should be displaying fine now.

Hmm well if I select the logo as a group - with the embedded EPS icon and the text all together - the status bar says "Group of 2 objects in root". The layer selection dropdown on the bottom of the screen now shows a new layer: one that is not shown in my Layers Panel - called '(root)'

If I select the embedded icon on its own, the status now says "Image 132x132 embedded in layer #g9923', and that layer also shows up in the layers dropdown box on the bottom near the status ... but this layer also still does not show up in my Layers Panel. The text blocks when selected separately both show as being in layer #g9923.

Selecting these objects greys out the green arrows on the Layers Panel. So there is no way to raise these up and down thru the layers, the hotkeys do not
work either.

It would be great to understand what's happening here, I havent found anything on it so far in the docs I have available to me.

I usually make another layer, then select, cut and Paste-in-place into the new layer.

Might give it a try...
