linking nodes of two seperate paths

Postby timClicks » Sun Mar 02, 2008 10:35 am

Hi

I've tired searching for this, but perhaps because I am blind - thought I wold ask in the forum.

Is there a way of linking two nodes together in seperate paths? This would be really useful when dealing with overlapping paths that appear visually together - e.g. corners of objects.

Really appreciate your help

Im not sure what you mean by linking but you can Combine the 2 paths into one (Path > Combine), and then treat nodes the way you want.
just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

I think he means that if has a red and blue diamond shape, he would like the corner of one diamond linked to the corner of the other diamond so the two nodes can be treated as one.

Whilst nodes can't be linked, you should be able to use snap settings to line them up, then you just need to select both at the same time before moving them.
