Hello!
I am creating my first vector (on Inkscape) out of this image: http://snookumz.com/you/psds/jojo/23.png
Here is my progress so far: http://snookumz.com/school/hhjk.png
(I know I have a really long way to go)
My problem is, I can't seem to get the shading between the fingers right, should I use a gradient? Would I have to redo that section of the fingers? Also, to save a later repost, how would I go about doing the hair? I know there are tutorials for PS but I prefer to read a made-for-Inkscape tuto.
The last vector (is it one ) I did one on MS Word: http://snookumz.com/portfolio/vexelvector.png and I chickened out on the hair as I did on a Phtofiltre vector (http://snookumz.com/skins/23top.png). -Yes, I know *wimp*-
Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to post the thing in the Finished Inkscape Work section. Thank you very much for reading, any feedback is very appreciated, sorry if I rambled too much. I'm off to do my signature and all that cool people jazz
Good day!

No. I don't usually tell people not to use something with such confidence but using a gradient kinda conflicts with the rest of the method you've used for her right (our left) arm. You've just gone too dark with the shadow there... or you might like to add some more colour stepping in that area so it's not such a sudden jump in darkness.
My recommendation is to keep going on other areas and come back to the sections you are unsure or unhappy with. Sometimes, after spending time on other areas, you develope an eye for how to improve those section.
My only suggestion for hair is to look at other vexel work to use a reference. When you decide the look you want, perhaps we recommend a method for most easily achieving it in Inkscape. But it may be as tedious as it looks
