Hi, I downloaded a free open source website template and would like to modify a background image that suites me well if I could remove some part of it. The background is made of flower pattern that repeat itself several time but there is the picture of a computer that stands out and that I wish to remove. . I don't know how to remove the computer and repeat correctly the background pattern .
Seeking help with modification of background
Re: Seeking help with modification of background
Hi.
Hmm. Getting the screen part instead would be much easier.
You can try masking a shifted duplicant over the original raster image, though in my humble opinion editing it in a raster program like gimp could make a cleaner result.

Re: Seeking help with modification of background
Hi.
As the background contains a repeating pattern this is a two minute job in paint - or any other bitmap editor.
Inkscape is not the right program to use here!
Just select a part to the left of the monitor - copy - and paste the selection - move the selection right until it "blends in".
(Did not check too closely for a good "fit" in my example - you might be able to do better.)
