Hello.
I tried to edit a radial gradient. But the controls don't seem to work, as in the Inkscape Manual stated.
- How can I add a new stop or edit an existing stop?
- How can I revert the gradient?
I'm using V0.48

Help with gradient editor
Re: Help with gradient editor
Hi.
At the fill and stroke panel (Shift+Ctrl+F), click on the edit gradient option to add new steps.
You can edit the colours and the position there or by using the node editor tool:
by clicking on each steps handles, you can change their colour.
Though it is easier it can produce alot of unused defs, so keep in mind to save your work and clean-vacuum unused defs with the file menu's option if you want to edit alot of gradients.
You cannot effectively revert a gradient.
If you have a linear gradient, you can change the end and start step positions by the node editor to be opposites,
but that doesn't work with radial gradients.

Inkscape can do that just fine (for linear as well as radial gradients) - just use the right tool.
Re: Help with gradient editor
Hmm missed that part. New things to learn every day.

That's exactly what I mean: it doesn't seem to work like you said. The "edit gradient option" doesn't seem to do anything, wherever I click?
BTW: is the "node editor tool" the one that I can access via Ctrl+F1 (I have a German UI)? If yes, then its ok with me: I can do anything I want to do.

AFAIK this is hidden in stable version (no menu, no button) you need to read the manual (and nobody does it)
Re: Help with gradient editor
Thank's for the hints!
I have to admit that mostly I'm not navigating by the manual.
Was thinking in the svg's gradient definitions where they have each steps with a percentage described, with no other information on the direction but the first and the last step positions.
Nice feature that inkscape can count the reverted step's positions.
(Or more precisely can create another gradient with the right steps.)
