Postby A.H.Vincent » Mon Jul 16, 2012 6:59 pm

I see that when opening multiple files, they show up on the bottom toobar, is there a way to have them in tabs so I can go back and forth?

Uummm.....when you say "bottom toolbar", do you mean your system's taskbar? Is the bottom toolbar part of Inkscape, or is it still there after you close Inkscape?

I don't think there's an Inkscape feature which shows multiple open windows, so I'm thinking it must be your taskbar. And unfortunately, I only know about Windows. If you have Windows 7, you can have all the Inkscape windows grouped together, so that when you mouseover, the view opens up to show all the different Inkscape files that are open. If you have Windows XP, that's a little different, and I'll have to visit my other computer, in the other room, because I don't use it much lately, and don't remember exactly how it works there.

But before I offer instructions for grouping them together, would you please tell us what your operating system is?? Then someone familiar with it can tell you what is available.
