Hi,
I've been working a project that will be an entertainment app, but I'm no artist. A brief description could be an interactive youngsters application. The illustrations/animations I need to complete the experience should be something like illustrating a children's book and the style I have in mind would be fairly realistic but not necessarily photographic nor Mange.

Any thoughts on where I might find some help?

As I see it you better share us more info from your project.
Like, if that's for serious business, are you looking for some paid graphic artists, or
someone willing to work for the fun of it.
Either way you would need to list the graphics the project needs, and,
especially if you want to work with a "volunteer", describe the thematic and the gameplay more.

This place also must have lot of artists in search of projects.

Honestly, I'm interested in getting involved in graphic projects. But my time it's not as wide as I wish.

Paid sites of freelancers: www.freelancer.com, www.odesk.com ... etc. I know about freelancer.com. The site gets a commmision for every project that begins.
