How to change path of recently-used.xbel file

Postby nihon94 » Thu Nov 08, 2012 7:05 pm

I have noticed recently whenever I use CCleaner a tool to clear history/cookies etc the "recently-used.xbel" file got deleted. And when I use Inkscape I can find recently used files which is very painful.

I wonder if, it is possible to change the path of "recently-used.xbel" file to some where such as My Document or else?

Any suggestions, help, advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you,

I don't know about the xbel file. But I have used CCleaner in the past. I seem to recall that there was a way to select which things to delete, or some way to deselect things that you don't want deleted. Although it's probably been 3 to 5 years since I used it, so pehaps it's no longer possible. Anyway, just a thought. I wish I could be more helpful :D

Hi,
Thank you for reply.
You are right about CCleaner, me too remember there was feature to choose what to be deleted or not.
I edit this posting:
I opened CCleaner, clicked on Options of the left, then from Exclude tab on the left I clicked on it, on the right clicked on ADD and a window appeared. I just used File and browsed to add the link of XBEL file that is all. After that I ran CCleaner and checked this exbel file did not delete.

Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts which give me an idea to solve problem.
