Hi All,
I'm a web designer starting out. I have been using gimp on and off for a while now and I'm fairly familiar with the program. Making websites to the caliber I want requires vector work and I wanted to be able to create and modify these elements myself. And here I am. I have ran through all the basic tutorials and some others I have found, so I'm well off at this point.
I have made some clip art, ribbons and such, that I am trying to import to gimp and I'm losing image quality. I have tried to change the dpi on export which increases size and on the import to gimp, which still renders blurry. I have tried both .png and .svg which produces the same results. Is there something I'm missing? This issue severely reduces the quality of my work.

Glad to join the community, hope to learn much more about vectors.
Image Quaility: Inkscape to Gimp
Re: Image Quaility: Inkscape to Gimp
There's a lot of info on this forum about this very issue, so a search might turn up all you need to know. Here's a start.
BTW GIMP will open SVG. Have you tried that?

Your mind is what you think it is.

Actually, I cranked up the volume on the DPI to over a few thousand and it worked out.
Is there a DPI preference for any of you?
