Making a flowing ribbon

Postby The_JinJ » Sun Jul 01, 2007 6:57 am

Just put together a quick 1st draft of my tutorial how to create a ribbon like this....

Ribbon tutorial

Need to crop and adjust the screenshots etc but have a look - comments, suggestions etc always appreciated :)

Suggestions to make it better:
Better gradient fills ;)
You could split the sections so you can apply multiple gradients

Nice tutorial. I got a little confused at the step "Fill the two longer parts with colour". But this is because I had overlooked the step when the first half of the ribbon was broken apart.

Glad it was of some use :)
There may be better ways to do this - could also tweak the ribbon around the fold - or make it wrap different ways......

The link doesn't seem to work anymore. Can someone show me where this tutorial is now or any similar?
