Inkscape "CVS" -> TLA for what?

What does the CVS stand for? Just out of idle interest.

TLA? Depending on the context, CVS probably stands for "Concurrent Versions System", which is a revision control system used by developers to allow multiple people work on code. Although, I'm pretty sure that Inkscape uses SVN, not CVS.

I see. there are Three Letter Acronyms for so many things, and mostly google is my friend, but in this case... anyways, there is a InkscapeCVS mailinglist on sourceforge, and i could not figure out what it was about.

Ah, ok. Well, this mailing list was obviously created when Inkscape used CVS, but now Inkscape uses SVN. Inkscape.org defines the list:
SVN commit messages for all Inkscape SVN modules are cc'd here (high volume)
