Hi,
I tried multiple things with Inkscape and Google, but It seems I'm not able to find a way by myself to do this.
I just vectorized a TIFF scanned version of my signature, made with blue ink, and vectorized in color using 6 passes. I get a camaïeu of blue, by doing this.
I tweaked it a little, and everything went fine until I wanted to change its colors. Have I to come back to my TIFF file and change colors with Gimp, then import from Inkscape and start another project, each time I want to get a new color gradient? Or is there a way to change the 6 layers simultaneously to get an approximative RGB result, from blue to red, for instance?
I've seen the grayscale conversion works well, but for others colors?
Thanks for reading and best regards,
KO

Hello
In Inkscape 0.91 there ia an extension for interpolating colors or other attributes from one path to another, I think it's what are you searching for. It comesiwith its own help. Also look here:
If you have problems:
1.- Post a sample (or samples) of your file please.
2.- Please check here:

3.- If you manage to solve your problem, please post here your solution.

Re: vectorize: substitute color shades
Hi Hulf,
I looked in the color submenu only, I haven't thought of the path submenu. After some test with an online RGB color code gradient generator, it works perfectly.
I have made some clone and tried some different gradients, the result is beautiful.
I want to use it for both my Tex-generated correspondence and for artistic purpose, but I must say that in my opinion, with a calligraphic pen-and-ink starting point, it's way better-looking with a 6 to 10 pass vectorization, even for a mere mail.
Thanks again,

Re: vectorize: substitute color shades
Have you tried Extensions > Colour > HSL Adjust... in 0.91? Tick the Live Preview box then drag the Hue slider to change the colour.
You can also change the colours using Extensions > Colour > Custom... to modify the RGB channels, on either 0.48 or 0.91, but it's not so intuitive.

Thanks Xav. The solution from Hulf worked well, so I didn't tried another one; I will take a look at it tomorrow.
