I'm trying to learn to make flourishes. I've watched several YouTube videos on the topic and most suggest using the Bezier tool, with a Spiro path, set to Triangle In. After I make a rough shape for my first flourish, it suggests going to the Path Effect editor. When I do this, "Pattern Along Path" is not an option, so I have to add the path effect. When I change the width, nothing seems to change. I think I must have a setting wrong. Each video I watch has "Pattern Along Path" already in the box at the top of the Path Effects window. Any suggestions?

It seems that was changed in V 0.92.1.

Shape Ellipse is now connected to Pattern Along Path, while Shape: Triangle is connected to Power Stroke.

I have no problem adjusting the width of a custom triangular shape copied to the clipboard.
