Dimentions on Inkscape
Dimentions on Inkscape
Hey, I'm new to inkscape... Just started using it a few days ago.. but for some reason I can't get this width and height thing going well.. are there any hints for this? For example If I wanted to create an icon 32x32 it either it creates it to small.
Re: Dimentions on Inkscape
Just new myself and not 100% sure what the problem is.
Seems to work ok for me - if I do New --> 32x32 icon it creates a 32x32 grid as expected

Re: Dimentions on Inkscape
and always remember that inkscape is a vector graphics program, as long as you have the page a square, you can work in inkscape at dimensions of 2000X2000 if you want, just export it to 32X32 when you get to that stage...
another useful tool for drawing icons in inkscape is view>icon preview it shows you what the icon will look like in a rang of different sizes...

Check when you are exporting it that you select the "Page" button as opposed to "Drawing" or "Selection". Also make sure the DPI is set correctly.
