Arched Rectangle

Postby Buddi » Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:06 pm

Hey everyone. How would I go about making a rectangle to arch upward, as well as having bold edges? Any and all help will be appreciated.

There's more than one way but I guess the easiest is to turn it into a path (Path > Object to Path) then use Node tool to grab the edge of the object and drag away to bend it.

I assume you mean wider stroke when you say bold edges, you can increase stroke width in the Fill and Stroke dialogue but there is a shortcut in bottom left corner of the window, if you right click the number you'll get a popup to change it.

Thanks for the reply. This may seem to be a simple question for some but I am not too familiar with inkscape. I appreciate your help in this matter. This is an excellent and helpful forum with many knowledgable members.
