I need to select all the text in a svg-file and because it is a large text, it is undoable to do that by selecting them one at a time.
My question: how do I select the text and only the text in a large file. I want to do a Stroke to path on these text-files.
How do I select text only?

You might try the latest pre-build of Inkscape, which has the "Select-same>Object type" menu:

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Another option is Menu: Edit>Find/Replace (Crtrl+F). Select properties, enter "text" in the Find field.
