I have been using inkscape as a vector program and I scanned in a pictures of some camouflage and when i went to use the trace bitmap it would think and think then not respond and the program would have to be shut down. Never had this problem before even with more detailed stuff. Any one ever have this issue or maybe some help on this its getting me frustrated. Thanks

Hi.

Maybe your raster image has its colours too close to eachother.
Create a variant of it with gimp, where you increase the contrast level between them,
then in inkscape after the auto-tracing, use the dropper tool with the original image to get the right colours.
