I am trying to get Inkscape setup on Natty Narwhal and am not having a very successful time do so. Could someone help me out or at least lead me to where I can find information? I don't work with Ubuntu much but want to start working more with it.
The only place I have found where the Inkscape templates are stored is,
usr > share > Inkscape > templates
which is locked down and when I click on properties and look at the Permissions tab it says I am not the owner. I have tried to perform a Save As to this folder from Inkscape and also copying a template I have saved to another location and tired dragging and dropping the file but am not allowed to do any of those. How do I become the owner? Or is there some other place to save templates to?

It's in Home/your name/.config/inkscape/templates

I do not see a .config folder inside my user folder inside Home. Is this an invisible file/folder?

Yes, this is an hidden folder and you must activate display hidden (or invisible) files in your file manager.

Yes it's a hidden file like all that start with a .
Use Ctrl + H or find the command under View menu to show all hidden files.
