Hi,
I'm using Inkscape build 2009-04-10 with Windows Seven build 7057 x64 in my Laptop HP TX2510US (Wacom Pen-enabled screen).
The inkscape things are ok, my problem is with the PEN, it can navigate thought the screen, but it can't "click" or "right-click" with it in the drawing area...
I haven't tested with another windows or another versions, but drivers and other things are working perfectly in the SO.
In GIMP 2.6.6 x86 (same laptop, same SO...) the pen is working normally, with multi-layers density and all...
Does the Inkscape needs a plugin, addon, extension, or something like that to support the pen?
Thanks,
Ícaro Scherma.

Re: Inkscape with Win7 *HP TX2510US* (WACOM)
I think this comes down to the GTK. My understanding is limited, but if GIMP works ok but Inkscape does not it may be that GIMP is using a newer version of GTK than Inkscape. I believe the GTK used for the development version of Inkscape is newer so you might like to try it. There's also a thread floating around in this forum with instructions on how to update the GTK for the current version of Inkscape wich fixes support for Wacom Bamboo tablets--it might also fix yours.

I know this defeats the purpose of using a pen, but try disabling using pressure sensitive tablet in inkscape preferences and your pen will work again.

Pfft... what was I thinking when I replied to this. I totally forgot that tablet support hasn't been working for me also.
