Fonts in its own folder ?

Postby geoslake » Fri Feb 06, 2009 6:05 pm

Hi

I started using inkscape, and while it looks great, there's something which bugs me.
In Illustrator, I had a subfolder with my addon fonts in it, just for (Illustrator).
Indeed, I need some fonts when doing vector things which I dont give a shit about, when in Open Office, or so, so I don't want to put them all in my windows system font folder.
Is there a way (by editing "font.conf" maybe), to let Inkscape have it's own font folder ?
(if not it would be a useful addition)

Thanks

Not currently, there isn't. You can request it as a feature at https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/

I don't find a way to enter that, not as a bug, but in a wishlist :(

The bug tracker is for feature requests too, so just add it there. (A member of the Inkscape bug team should then set the importance to "Wishlist" - you can't do that yourself.)
