Hello all,
I am new to Inkscape and designing graphics in general. I am currently using Inkscape to create some simple polygons which I will assemble in a website using CSS3. I understand there is a transparent background that surrounds the image when I create the .svg, but in order to properly manipulate the image in CSS3 I need the polygon I have drawn to be at the center. For example, if I have drawn a square in Inkscape, how do I ensure the center of the square will be the center of the entire image.
Thank you,
mjh
[solved] Centering the Image
Re: Centering the Image
You can center things on the page by using the dialog Object -> Align and Distribute.
Select all your objects -> group them together -> in the dialog's dropdown choose 'Page', then use the buttons 'Center on vertical axis' and 'Center on horizontal axis'.
