Hello all,
I am working on Ubuntu Linux.
How to set inkscape just use fonts from specific font directory? i.e. /usr/share/fonts/inkscapefonts
So, there are no other Ubuntu fonts in inkscape when it run. But, only fonts from /inkscapefonts dir.
Really need your help.
Thank you.

Re: [ask] how to set specific font directory
Welcome to both of you!
Inkscape does use fonts installed on the machine, and unless there's an unstable or broken font which Inkscape can't use, it shows all the installed fonts. However, I am unsure how fonts work in Linux. It seems that Inkscape is made to work best with Linux (or least from what I've read, it's runs much faster on a Linux os) so perhaps there is some way to set up fonts on Linux, so that only certain ones are available to Inkscape. I don't think so, but I'm not positive

Thank you for both of your replies.
@Pilosopong Tasyo Indeed, there is no font dir setting in the Inkscape Preference.
@brynn Hi, there are some good Inkscape tutorial links. Thank you.

rebuild from sources and change /usr/share/fonts to another directory (it'll be a configuration item or variable or such) that works in the same way as original /usr/share/fonts dir.
