Rotating an object moves it

Postby frodosolo » Mon Nov 07, 2016 6:25 am

Help!!! Every time I rotate an object, it doesn't work. It doesn't rotate it at all, but instead moves it to another place on the screen. It's like it's snapping it to something, but I can't figure out what. I've tried to turn off snapping, and I've searched everywhere I can think of online, but nothing seems to HELP!!!! I just want to rotate a simple picture I created and it won't let me!

It could be that you've moved the center of rotation of that object outside of the object center, so it moves along a huge circle when you try to rotate. Or it's inside a group that can some transforms applied, is the object within a group? What happens when you copy the object into a new clean document and try to rotate?
