Hi, I'm brand new to this site, and have a query.
I have created a picture, it's now finished except for removing a cloud with 0 on the opaque count for stroke and fill. The cloud is sitting outside of main picture - I must have designed it out there and accidentally stripped out all colour, and forgotten about it.
When I select all the object/cloud is revealing its presence inside a dashed box. But I can't delete it. Can't catch it so to speak. I click all around inside the box but I can't hook onto the object to get rid of it.
When I export my picture this invisible object/cloud goes with the export - my png then has the appearance of being half blank instead a full pic.
I'm unable to purely box around my picture and select it for importing. Having been trying for 2-days.
Has anyone encountered this and problem solved it?
Apologies if this prob has been addressed elsewhere in the Forum.
Deleting objects at 0 opaque count
Re: Deleting objects at 0 opaque count
select visible objects (= drag and drop a box around) then invert selection (!)
Re: Deleting objects at 0 opaque count
Another way is easier: set view to outlines only, then you can select any objects.

Re: Deleting objects at 0 opaque count
If the above doesn't work for you, perhaps you accidentally locked it or hid it, go to Object, then towards the bottom you'll see Unlock All and Unhide all, click those.
I've had one glitchy thing where this happened and nothing seemed to work, so I opened up a 2nd Inksacpe screen (file, then new), and simply selected all the objects except for the wonky one, and copied it to the new empty file. delete the wonky one.

Thank you for the replies! I haven't tried inverting yet and wasn't sure how to do so I scratched my head a little and moved to the next reply.
I selected OUTLINE and that solved the problem perfectly. All the nodes showed making the unwanted invisible item easy to delete.
Thanks again!
