Hello everyone. I have finally finished my first frame by frame animation created mainly in Inkscape. Here is a link to it if you want to check it out.

It is very simple and mediocre, but this is because I put little effort in my endeavor.
I made it using Inkscape, Gimp, Paint.net(barely) and Blender. In Inkscape I used a different layer to represent each frame. Then I exported each frame as a bitmap and made the background in Paint.net and Gimp. This way was pretty tedious, but I learned a thing or two in the process. If anyone else has an animation they made using Inkscape, please feel free to share it as well as your method for creating it, if you don't mind.

Which part did you use Blender for? I don't see much 3D in there. You could try searching the forum, for more info. There have been quite a few messages about animation lately.

I forgot to mention it, but I used Blender for the layers of constant rain fall and to compile all of the frames into a single video. This is were I had a little trouble, but I learned more about Blender though. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Oooohh, I didn't know it was possible to use Inkscape images, and Blender only for the animation....or video. So Blender technically makes videos? While GIMP makes GIF animations?

I don't know how MVision create animation using Blender, but as far as I know, many open source softwares are connected each other.
That's why I love open source so much.
And they're free.
