For the members of our forum (that supports a particular brand of synthesizer) , we decided that it would be a great help to write a 'guide' that would quickly bring users up to speed in using the instrument.
Thus we went and created a "Quick Start Guide".
Now one of the goals was to use as much graphics as we could to best explain features. This was now always going to be awkward as I'm no graphic artist.
I had used INKSCAPE in the past to do very easy vector type work so it obviously was my first choice.
I can present to you some pictures of our QUICK START GUIDE (that is compiled in Scribius). All graphics are done in Inkscape and saved as SVG's, which are then imported into Scribius.
We recommend INKSCAPE to anyone willing to listen !!
None of this would have been possible without the assistance from this forum - the great tutorials that are on it.

Re: eBook (Quick Start Guide)
It looks nice, from what I can tell. I tried to view the full size, but it appears this is it. At least it's the full size of what you uploaded. If this is the size you will be printing, or putting on a website, I would suggest making it bigger. I can't read it, or clearly see the illustrations
I do notice some green checkmarks in the bottom right corner of 3 of the pages, and can't find any indication of what they mean or why on those pages and not on others. Also, there's yellow logo PC3 on some pages but not all. Not sure about that either.

Off topic:
"Arpeggiator"? Not questioning or judging, but just curious about this word. Is it commonly used in the industry, or something trademarked by the company? I know "arpeggio" so I just think it's a cute word!Basics - Help menu > Tutorials

Re: eBook (Quick Start Guide)
"Arpeggiator" is a word used by synthesizers. Its the term used for the button that makes "Arpeggio's".
The full size is the PDF itself which is A4 paper size.
We have a draft available to our members and I will make available here to the INKSCAPE forum. Its very messy and is very much a work in progress.

One thing we lost bringing the SVG's into Scribius was the "blurs" we had on the buttons to simulate the glowing LED's on the buttons. They looked so wonderful in INKSCAPE. The green ticks are the pages that have been finalized. The Orange logo points the reader to the other manual and page for deeper reading on the matter. But overall, I'm very happy with it and have lined up some other "guides" to do that will feature using INKSCAPE for the design.

Re: eBook (Quick Start Guide)
Looks very nice. The blur thing is a problem, sadly. and Scribus is perhaps the most up-to-date SVG parser so you can't do better elsewhere. There are some labor intensive vector substitutes for blur (using interpolation) that will translate into scribus and i was thinking if it's just a glowing button you might be able to make it once and then paste it into every other spot that needs it.
Your mind is what you think it is.
