I was working and somehow I clicked the pattern and the stroke changed in to pattern which I do not need.
I tried to change the settings by drop down list (Shift+Ctrl+F) but I did not find any setting where I can click to change to Nil.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance
How to disable stroke pattern in Inkscape0.48
Re: How to disable stroke pattern in Inkscape0.48
Hello
It seems simple... just do ctrl + Z (undo)
In the fill and stroke panel there is an option for patterns... please consult the Inkscape Guide
Unless there is something that I'm missing??... try to post a screen shot, a sample, or even your file.

I think you might be referring to the stroke style (dashes, dots,...). Just select the one from the list that looks like a straight line. It must be near the top or at the top of the list.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

I'm not sure if you're asking to remove the stroke completely, or just to change it back to a regular stroke.
If Moini's or hulf's suggestions didn't work, try this.
First, select the object with the pattern stroke. In Object menu > Fill and Stroke > Stroke Paint tab
-- to remove the stroke completely, click the big X button
-- to make it just a regular stroke, click the button to the right of the X button, which is the solid color (I think tool tip says "Flat color")

Hi,
Thank you very much for the detailed reply.
Yes, I wanted to make it regular stroke. After posting message here I did my work again to get rid of the stroke pattern.
After reading your answer I have noted it down and also stored in my memory in case if I need it later.

Re: How to disable stroke pattern in Inkscape0.48
@nihon94 : in my Inkscape translation (German) it says 'Pattern' for the stroke style, too - guessing was easy here.
If you use a non-English Inkscape version, you can switch the interface language like this (to see what something would be called in the original English version, so it will be really easy for us to know what you mean):
Edit -> Preferences -> Interface, then select English / your favourite language. Close Inkscape (all Inkscape windows!), restart it.
(if you don't want to do that, that's okay, too, of course, but it might get you quicker answers)

Hi, thank you for the reply. Using 0.48 versions as other versions do not work properly.
Attaching screen shot. Hope will be helpful.

Re: How to disable stroke pattern in Inkscape0.48
Hi nihon94,
this is not a bug, it's greyed out because no stroke is set or the object is not selected.
Select the object that has a stroke, or, if that doesn't work, look into the second tab ("flat color") and activate the second button at the top there to give it a stroke.
