Hi all,
I have been trying to find a solution that does not involve moving nodes but this time, I failed.
I have got an svg rectangular border drawn as a rope that I would like to resize (approx. 2.5x in width and 3.5 in height ) without changing the width of the border itself (not the stroke width).
The svg is freely available at
http://vectors.ryanlerch.org/rope-borde ... border.svg
Any hint on how can I do it?

Hi.
There is not much trickery here, you either need some manual editing or redrawing the whole thing with a pattern along path lpe.

Re: Changing size of an object not scaling
Hi Lazur, thank you for the quick answer. I understand that a manual work is required but is there a way to "shrink" or maybe more correctly move multiple points at once?
Thanks
Thanks

You can use duplicating and snapping to nodes etc.
Re: Changing size of an object not scaling
Because it´s done with the path effect "pattern along path it´s easy to reverse engineering that rope: pick one element and draw your rounded rectangle and have a good play the path effect. I doubled one with a broader outline in the background.
This one has the effect till intact. Maybe this helps:
Cheers
