Hello everyone,
I'm using version 0.91 and want to edit the gui icons in inkscape, and specifically the delete icon in the edit/right click menu that looks like a garbage can. I had a look in both the icons.svg and the tango_icons.svg but could not find it. Has anyone else faced similar issues?
Thank you
Where is the delete icon located in Inkscape 0.91?
Re: Where is the delete icon located in Inkscape 0.91?
For me, the icon is a red cross, and the other icons in the right-click menu also don't seem to be identical to those in the commands bar.
I think this (just like cut, copy, paste, undo and redo in the context menu) could be an icon that is provided by the system rather than by Inkscape.

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

The ids gtk-remove / edit-delete don't appear to work for that icon.

Strange, is there another location where the delete icon might be stored?

I don't know. I've just been looking for it too. I think Inkscape takes some icons from your system. That's why Moini's icon for delete is different from ours on Windows. At least I think that's why.
I would have no clue how to find the icons in Windows, if that's where it's coming from.

The strange thing is that I don't think I've ever seen that icon before. Here's what mine's looks like:

Some icons in the workspace are from the gtk icon set (like the document preferences icon)... I've not found where they are kept in windows.
Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

rednine, notice how you have a white square with red x for undo/redo? That would seem odd to me, because mine are a yellow curved arrow for undo, and green curved the other way arrow for redo.
So it seems like there must be more than just one or 2 scenarios for where the icons come from, across various different systems and distros, and maybe even Inkscape versions.
If you really need to find it, you could ask on the developer IRC.
