Hi
I have an HP Deskjet F2180 printer. I am trying to print an Inkscape drawing using the best quality settings it has.
I go to File>Print and then in the Preferences dialogue change the settings from General (All Purpose) to Best (Presentation). However, clicking OK and Apply etc doesn't get the new setting to "stick". It automatically "resets itself" to the lower quality. This doesn't happen with other programmes e.g .... err Word
Any ideas?
Thanks
Printer won't use best settings for Inkscape

It might be that some software, like Word, take note of your last used printer settings whilst Inkscape does not. I would simply change the printer default settings for the system.

Yup, that did it. Thanks
FWIW it doesn't seem that Word is remembering the last setting but rather that Inkscape doesn't allow the default setting to be changed from "within" the print command. Anyway you've solved it. I just need to reset the defaults when I use Inkscape and then change them back again afterwards,
Thanks again
