Printing a color gradient

Postby genez » Wed May 06, 2015 6:34 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to print an exported pdf with color gradients to use in an image correlation experiment.

I cannot directly print the svg, I am not connected to the printer, I need to convert to pdf (or a pixel format) to directly print from usb key file.
Pixel format is not appropriate, as I need as many grey levels as the laser printer can possibly give me.

So I created the svg (attached file), I export it to pdf, I go print from usb key, and instead of gradients pattern I get a wide black solid block.

(the pdf opened under Sumatrapdf is as expected, only the printing go wrong)

Any idea why?

Hello,

the object had a pattern fill made of another object with a pattern fill, while the effect can be achieved by a single gradient repeated.

Try this one:
