My First Screencast

Postby Jaws » Sun May 03, 2009 1:08 pm

In this screencast, my first, I create a simple torus or donut shape with an offset lighting effect, and a 3D highlights in Inkscape 0.46.

http://www.divshare.com/download/7264982-aed

It's about a 34MB AVI video and the hosting site will give you about 135KB/s so it will take a little while to download.

Hope you enjoy and get some useful information.

Excellent work, Jaws! :)

(Before I heard your voice, why the heck was I thinking that you were British?)

Thanks HeathenX, that's high praise coming from you.

My next planned screencast is an extension, sort of, of Richard and your - Microsodes. Stay tuned and with your permission I was planning to show folks your Microsodes page in the screencast and recommend a visit there.

Perhaps you were thinking of Dai who has a British accent and was part of the staff at the original LGU free-forum when it first started. I'm a born and bread Midwesterner from the Chicagoland area -- but I'm working on a British accent. ;)

Cheers

Everyone who does screencasts has a Brit accent... didn't you know that?
I'm still working on my accent... I had asked my old friend Dai if I could borrow his but, he declined

Well thanks for asking but you don't need our permission for anything. ;)

I'm not getting you confused with Dai. I really did think you were from England for some reason. Maybe I saw some posts some where on a British forum (besides this one) or something, I don't know. I'm a fellow Midwesterner from northern Indiana so we're not far from each other actually.

If majority rules it's an American forum. If my host rules it's still American. If I rule it's Australian ;)

Good grief! I give up. Australian? Really? I'm all turned around now.

Anyway, Jaws, we'll be expecting more screencasts from you. ;)
