Having problems exporting svg to eps Adobe compat.

Hi guys,

I have tried to export my svg to eps but I am having problems. I would like to upload some images to stock site, however the stock site requires the images in an EPS format which is also Adobe 8 compatible. I have exported my graphic to an EPS and then tried re-opening it in Gimp, however it doesn't recognize the file.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can convert my svg's to Eps as well as preview or open the file?
