Noob here.
I created a layer with content and locked it. Then I created a new layer and added a closed bezier shape. Finally I wanted to fill it using the paint bucket but its affected by the locked layer below.
What is the point of layers and locking layers if they affect the layers above?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Jeremy
Paint Bucket Affected by Locked Layer
Re: Paint Bucket Affected by Locked Layer
You can toggle the visibility of the offending layer instead of locking.
But really, I'd suggest you add a fill to the shape, using the palette or the Fill+Stroke dialog.
For an entry level tutorial, take a look at the ones that come with Inkscape (Help > Tutorial) and at the collection at http://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php
