Hi,
Right now I am making a Dutch Wordpress blog on Inkscape. I found out, that as a rule, it is not possible to upload svg files to wordpress, because of 'security reasons'.

So I wanted to make some svg files downloadable via Dropbox, but there you need an account before you can really download files I shared. But I don't want to force readers to make a dropbox account.
I do know about openclipart, but that is not always the right place for 'just a file'.
Does anybody know a better alternative for this?
I would be very happy to find a good alternative.

I think that in dropbox exists a "Public" folder which you can share the link with everyone. But I may be wrong...

Sharing a link does not usually require a login, invitations usually do.

Thank you for answering so quickly. I found that my shared files are not downloadable, if they do not show correctly. For example, a shared ordinary jpg is displayed correctly and then you can download it from dropbox, without a login.
I have made an Inkscape SVG file, with layers, which does not display immediately, only after being logged in.

One shared file:

It does work, if I make it a complete shared directory, which you can then download as a zip file. Strange, isn't it? So that is a bit annoying.

Right click file/share link/copy url/paste url/delete the www part from the url and replace it with dl

SVG is (becoming) an open standard on the internet. So it would be wise for Dropbox to make it easier to share such a file, not more difficult. But we will see.

I think it is intentional, not a hack.
Dl stands for download, and in that manner it could go even further, as openclipart can for example.

At dropbox limitation is connected to the free storage size, and maybe to the bandwidth as well.
With simple svg-s it is unlikey to exceed those.
