[solved] Selecting the intersection without removing the

If I have two circles (say in a Venn Diagram) and I want to shade the intersection, Ctr-* lets me make a path out of the intersection. At the moment I need to do that, apply shading then position the original two circles beneath the shaded intersection - it's quite fiddly to get them lined up again. Is there a way to make a path of the intersection without removing the original?

Thanks

duplicate both circles, and then use intersection option on the duplicates ;)
