Created new color palette but

Postby nihon94 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 12:16 pm

After reading in the forum about the format for color palette I tried and created which are now added in the my Inkscape. I can use colors there isn't any problem except one thing I would like to clear.
First of all when I tried to follow the format and used "Wordpad" txt, file extension gpl, and saved (below is a few RGB values for example purpose only)

GIMP Palette
Name: Ari
#
177 196 187
186 179 47
168 159 77

the color palette did not appear in the Inkscape, then I kept trying by looking at the Inkscape original gpl files but only this format worked so far:
GIMP Palette
Name: Ari
Columns: 3
#
177 196 187
186 179 47
168 159 77

It is good I can use colors I created but when I open Inkscape and choose my color palette it work fine except when I put cursor on the desired color the entire palette shiver(up and down) a little which is strange. However, when I use the original Inkscape color palette I do not face such thing.
Therefore, the question is am I doing some thing wrong? Or is it the tabulation gap between RGB numerical?
And if the problem solved want to share that colors with others too :D

Please share your thoughts and oblige.

Thank you

I'm sorry no one has answered your questions yet. I'm afraid that I don't know much about custom palettes, so I haven't commented or offered suggestions. But my reply here will bring this topic back up to the top. Image Maybe someone who knows about custom palettes will see it this time :D

PS - I do know a little about using the auto palette. Maybe that would work better than a custom palette? See http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... r-Swatches and http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... omSwatches. If not, then someone surely will answer about custom palettes soon :D
