Help or tutorial for noob wantin to convert png to eps

Postby [email protected] » Sun Mar 16, 2014 2:04 am

Hi All

I'm a complete noob I'm afraid. I want to convert two .png images to .eps or a .pdf...something vectored.
The couple of youtube tutorials on this suggest selecting the image and going to path-trace bitmap and clicking on ok. Clicking on ok doesn't seem to actually do anything. The image has loads of points on it so perhaps its too complicated. Also if I'm right this doesn't do a perfect job and I need to do some work on this anyway. Are there any tutorials on this or is it a complicated enough job that I'd need prior familiarity with the prog?

Thanks a mill

Hi Patrick!

The auto-trace option is rarely the best solution.
If those images would be better in vectors, you probably better trace them manually, which, would need some basic knowledge of the program.
Check out Xav's tutorials in full circle magazine

or the collection of tutorials here:

Post an image example if you are stuck somewher/for a better answer.

Good luck!
