Help needed on inkscape

Hi, i would like to ask whether is it possible to make a circular bricks in inkscape. Basically what it means that the 2D eclipse shape with full rectangle shapes on it that makes into a shape similar to wall of bricks spacing. :tool_ellipse:

Almost anything is possible with Inkscape - but we need to understand your goal well first.
Can you make a small drawing of what you want and upload it here?
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
