Hello everyone. I have a question about a problem I'm having with a set of auto traced images (using Vector magic) that have been polished pretty heavily. I've tried searching the forums, but I haven't found a solution that works. Hopefully someone can help.
Problem: There is a slight border around some of the colored paths in my designs.
Examples: (sorry for outside linking, but the file is kind of large so you can see better)

(The thin borders are around the colored sections of the image, most notable in the body of the pink and blue characters, and the hot air balloon around the green shapes (the border in that one appears yellow)
(SVG for reference) https://www.mediafire.com/?7k2tyxf0242bl1d
Background:
-Traced using Vector magic, edited using inkscape.
-Dragged all nodes to overlap with borders, so I shouldn't be seeing any kind of background bleed through
-Did not use the fill tool, all of the colors are paths.
-There isn't any stroke set, nor blur. Though the high air balloon is clipped.
-Duplication doesn't seem to fix the problem.
-Even when I create native shapes in inkscape using the bezier tool I seem to get the outline shown. I thought maybe retracing the fill would help, but it doesn't?
-I'm running Inkscape version 0.48.2 r9819.
I'm stumped. Is this an issue with the settings on one of the tools I'm using? Can it be fixed?
Annoying border around path?
Re: Annoying border around path?
I wonder if the problem could be with what you're using to view it? I'm not seeing any borders viewing the PNG in my browser (Firefox).

Re: Annoying border around path?
OK weird. I just downloaded the SVG to my ipad and viewed it in both the Inkpad app and the internet browser... and that seems to have fixed the problem...? Yet, when I view the PNG and SVG on my computer I see the very thin outline running along the inside of the black character outlines. Maybe it IS a problem with my computer/the version that I'm running/the computer settings? I guess I'll just have to export all vectors to double check myself.
Thank you for pointing that out to me!! I probably wouldn't have thought to check it on another device.

Re: Annoying border around path?
In my humble opinion the clipped edge on the balloon's green pattern can produce rendering issue at the edge due to anti-aliasing, but that's really nit-picking (and could be solved if you add a thin black inked outline over it).
Re: Annoying border around path?
I'll also try that. I only really clip when I feel I have no other option. I wish I could've bypassed it completely, because sometimes clips do funky things when I am moving around layers, but the basket and balloon are both too detailed for me to pull off without.
Re: Annoying border around path?
Looks quite good how you added the fill below the outlines on the left.
I suggest to focus a bit more on node placement/editing, and checking those ellipses -not all of them are a full ellipse but an arch, and it would be more consistent if they were converted to paths (Ctrl+Shift+C) -after setting them to full, so that they would end up closed paths.
Another tip is to check the image in outlines only display mode (Ctrl+5 on the numpad to change between modes).
