I am trying to install inkscape-pages-1.2.1.exe on Windows 8.1 but I keep getting the following error.



Further I can't find an execute shortcut or any exe in the folder to run.

Any ideas?

Installed the extension without any errors.
Do you have Inkscape installed in the C:\Program Files (X86)\Inkscape directory?

When running the install program you have to specify where your Inkscape install directory is.
By the way, I moved the extension from the program_install\share\extensions directory to my
user_install\share\extensions directory as I use several different versions of Inkscape.

I had just returned to post my findings... I thought I was installing Inkscape but that it was now called inkscape-pages. I then realised that I was trying to install a addon without the actual programme... embarrassing

Good Luck on installing and using Inkscape, after the install head over to the "manual" and go through the first few tutorials in the Quick Start Section to get familiar with the user interface and basic workflow.
