Quite a few links to free downloads and also has tutorials etc - may be worth a look

Only problem with some of these sites are that the file format is in AI or EPS

I know in the latest beta version, it can open AI files and import as a PDF. As for EPS, you can convert it with GSView (http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/) to a PDF and open it with Inkscape.

I usually have no problem converting eps to svg with Scribus or Ghostscript, but there are times when even those applications will not open an eps file. For example the freebies from here cannot be opened by Scribus, and GSView can't open it, so if you want it as a svg it is no go.
