Does inkspace have an "image trace" feature like illustrator?

I'm not familiar with Illustrator....except I think I've heard that it can pretty accurately reproduce a photo.

Inkscape does have Trace Bitmap, which converts any raster image to vector. But it's not meant to accurately and precisely reproduce images. For example, if you were to trace something like a family photo, it would look aweful. But it does have its uses. On certain types of raster images, it behaves beautifully. In some cases after a trace, it's feasible to tweak a few nodes here and there, and have an acceptable result.

I know there are a few raster to vector trace engines around the internet, but I doubt if any can do what Illustrator does. That's probably why it costs so much!

I don't need to convert photos. The "trace Bitmap" which converts any raster image to vector is what I use.
