Dear all,
I use inkscape to edit eps files that I produce with matplotlib (a Python package for plotting graphs). However, I found that inkscape tends to mess around with the fonts, and sometimes the file opened with inkscape shows different fonts to the same one opened with a viewer (both activating and not activating the "Replace fonts with similar fonts" when importing the eps file). As there is no error message, I don't know where to start trying to solve this problem... any idea?
I use Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939, as installed from Debian testing repositoires.
Problem loading fonts
Re: Problem loading fonts
Welcome aboard!
There are more topics on missing fonts on the forum as far as I remember,
and they were mostly caused by one- or two specific fonts.
The problem was something like the postrscript filename and the font name wasn't the exact same, so inkscape refused to use that font.
It can also happen if you use a part of a font family, if it has a different name?
Edit:
Oh this was it, related to arial narrow:
