I have inadvertently done something.
Now when I click the text tool and type each letter has two outlines... the outer and the inner.
For Example the letter "O" has another "O" inside it.
I can use the Object Properties "Fill" to fix this but then the letter is thick.
I'm using the Ariel font but same problem in any font.
I just want plain text. How do I fix this?
Thanks for any help.
Why double text outline? Example: Letter O has another O inside it.

Hi.
Set the right stroke and fill attributes (Shift+Ctrl+F).
My guess is you have a semi-transparent stroke and you need to move the alpha slider back to 255.

Additionally, remove the stroke by clicking on the X icon in the Stroke Paint tab of the fill and stroke dialog. That's going to remove it entirely, if you don't want it.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

Thanks Moini. That fixed it for me.
