Hello,
By default, when we print opaque, overlapping colors, the top color knocks out the area underneath. Overprinting prevents knockouts and makes the topmost overlapping printing ink appear transparent in relation to the underlying ink. Where colors printed from separate plates overlap or adjoin one another, press misrepresentation can cause gaps between colors on the final output. Is there any option in InkScape to solve operprinting problem?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Overprint Fill Option
Do you want to Trap, Knockout, or Overprint?

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Re: Overprint Fill Option
Inkscape has few pre-press options, and will not automatically provide color separations. Depending on your equipment and your workflow, you might be able to use Inkscape for pre-press directly, or in conjunction with other software (e.g. Scribus).
To trap a particular color, you can stroke the outline with the same color as fill.
Recent developments in Inkscape might make the process easier, "Select-same" can be used to select all instances of a color, the new set-stroke color to fill color extension can be used if stroke color on objects is not matching fill.

Re: Overprint Fill Option
I don't understand these technical printing terms, but if you're talking about professional printing, you may want to learn about Inkscape's only CMYK print model options. This topic covers the extension which brings this limited feature to Inkscape. (The CMYK tab in the Fill and Stroke dialog does not represent the print model. I don't understand exactly what it does do
But it won't get you CMYK color in a print.)
