Why does exported EPS contain JPG

how is it that an eps file created in Inkscape has part of my design eps and the other half jpeg? HELP ME!

does your graphic have any gradients or textures or complicated things? Then the eps export will raster those as a bit map. There is s check box on the export dialog.
