Hi Everybody
I drew a lovely curved path using the freehand pencil, then did the text, then put along path. I moved the curved text away from the path so I could delete it, meaning the path. Nothing worked. Then I read somewhere that you can select the path and to remove it you can turn off the stroke fill. I was unable to do this. Can anyone explain to me how to do this please guys? Is there a simpler way to remove the path? Thanks so much. Bye 4 now emma27

Yes, one way to remove the path that you have put your text along is to simply remove the stroke. Another way is to make it transparent.
1 - select the path
2 - open Fill and Stroke dialog and click the Stroke Paint tab
3 - either click the X to remove the stroke, OR move the A slider all the way to the left to make it transparent
