I have a group that consists of:

• 1x Text Object
• 1x Linked Offset (from Text Object)
• 1x Clone of Linked offset (blurred for drop shadow)
• 1x Clone of Text Object clipped by a path

Now when I try to ungroup that group the whole lot explodes into pieces which are randomly scattered around.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

I made a document as you said and when I ungrouped the objects didn't stay centered but I think they lined up to the bottom edge. Its a bug I guess, will you report it? And attach your test file and/or a screenshot to show result.

I tried to undo it using History but Inkscape crashed.

I just tried it again and everything was ok, group and ungroup worked as usual
