I'm trying to use the Text to Path function in Inkscape. Right now each time I try it the text keeps getting flipped upside when I attach it to the path.
I have used the 'Convert to Text' command on the text before trying to attach it to the path but that does not help. I have also drawn the path (using a simple Bezier Curve) from right to left and left to right and still get the same results
What factors determine whether the text is attached above or below the path?
What setting is causing the text to be 'flipped' over once it is attached to the path?
I have tried to find an answer to my problem by:
Searching the archives of this specific forum;
Tried to find an answer by searching the Web;
Tried to find an answer by reading the Users Manual;
Tried to find an answer by reading the FAQ and
Tried to find an answer by experimentation on my own
My goal is to to apply simple text to a simple curved path. I've done this before using other drawing programs but I don't understand why Inkscape keeps flipping the text upside down each time I attach it to a simple path.
Thanks

Re: Text to Path - Why is text being flipped upside down?
If you create a path from right to left the text will go upside down. But you've said you've gone from right to left so I can't explain it.
After your draw the path, trying flipping it from end to end and see if that makes a difference.
I assume you're using Inkscape 0.46

Path>reverse should switch which side its being put on.
